The Kansas-Nebraska act

The Kansas-Nebraska act took place May 32, 1854 in Kansas and Nebraska. This was leading to the Missouri compromise and the war versus the north and the south. People that were involved were anti-slavery people and pro-slavery people. The Kansas-Nebraska act effected slavery by letting people vote for slavery to see if people wanted slavery or not. This tried to end slavery and tried to continue it because people voted for slavery.

This act has a special quote and it’s called “The bleeding Kansas” because everyone was coming to Kansas so they can protest about slavery so it could stop or be continued. This place cannot be visited because this was a event that happened in 1854. I am proud of what had happened in 1854 because people were given the right to vote against slavery or with it. People were participating in this so they can have a say in what they were doing with the blacks.
